So you want to bid for The Accent? Woo hoo! So what
happens next? Let's see if you can meet all the qualifications put forth
by the Joint Western District Bylaws. These are the requirements:
- A Written Bid stating why the Chapter(s) wish to publish The Accent,
what The Accent will contain, and the method that will be used to
publish The Accent.
- A proposed sample of The Accent.
- Ability to publish The Accent and maintain an electronic version for
distribution. Translation - be able to produce and mail hard copies as
well as putting it on the web.
- A Budget for Production Costs.
- A Letter of Recommendation from Chapter(s) Sponser(s).
More things to consider
- In the event that there is no bid for The Accent, or that no bid meets
the requirements, The Accent shall become the responsibility of the
Western District Secretary/Treasurers.
- The Accent must be published at least three times a year:
| Spring | Three (3) Weeks after the Western District Convention |
| Fall | November 15 |
| Winter | March 15 |
- Submissions, therefore, are due:
| Spring | One (1) week after the Western District Convention |
| Fall | November 1 |
| Winter | March 1 |
- These are the people that get an Accent:
- Every National Officer for both KKPsi & TBSigma
- Every KKPsi Governor and TBSigma Counselor
- Every District Officer for both KKPsi & TBSigma
- Every Active Chapter and Colony of both KKPsi & TBSigma in the WD
- Western District Webmaster
So show up to Western District Convention prepared to answer
questions regarding the above information.
