About:
The Iota Alpha chapter at Fresno State was founded in 1988 by 12 wonderful and talented musicians.  These twelve men founded the chapter on the ideas of pursuing music and “striving for the highest.”  Throughout the years there have been 178 young men and women who have been initiated into this amazing chapter, and have earned the title “brother”.  Together we work with our sister counterparts of the Eta Omega Chapter in putting on and hosting such events as the Dr. Sutherland Wind Festival, post concert receptions, the California Band Directors Association conference, and the most recent, the San Joaquin Valley Color Guard & Percussion Review (SJVCGPR) competitions.  We as brothers continually “strive for the highest” in all we do to promote music, service, and brotherhood within this chapter, district and nation.Eta Omega was founded at Fresno State in April of 1988. We have been an important part of the Fresno Staste Music Department and of the Bulldog Marching Band. We are celebrating our 25th Anniversary in the spring semester and we will also proudly welcome the Beta Alpha Class in the same semester. We work closely with our Brothers of the Iota Alpha Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi at Fresno State and together, we are a strong presence. We are a close chapter that always has fun in whatever we do and we love being a part of the Western District.
